Summary : The quartet are sent by the Merciful Goddess to obtain the Jade Pearl, which can grant any wish. In the way, they come across a village, where a mysterious girl magically treats people back to normal. And along comes the Kougaiji group to snatch up the same pearl. When this girl is confronted by the Sanzo-ikkou, she tries to escape the reality, and meets a monk. They plan to leave the town to move onto the other villages needing the girl’s help. How will it all end?

This OVA is considered to be a sequel of the Saiyuki TV series – 1st season, after the Homura arc. As it has been extracted from an interactive game, there are slight pauses at each scene break.
